Enterprise IT integration
The XML Gateway is the industry-leading software solution for Remedy AR System integrations. The product is provided in a J2EE package with full enterprise functionality. For members of the Remedy community who simply need a tool for occasional data import/export scripting, however, the full XML Gateway may be overkill.

For such cases, Java System Solutions now provide a Community Edition of the software, available without charge. XML Gateway CE contains the core feature subset, accessible through a command-line interface.
The command-line Community Edition tools are suitable for technical users to get simple one-off data transport jobs done. XML Gateway CE is not designed for real-time applications or as part of a reliable long-term enterprise IT strategy.
Manual pages. The XML Gateway tutorial also covers relevant material, though some features mentioned in it (eg. attachment extraction) are not available in XML Gateway CE.

Quick start for technical users: unpack the XML Gateway CE archive and load the xmlgateway.rc file into a text editor to configure the properties to point XML Gateway to your AR System server.
Now run the XML Gateway command line script passing as the configuration template and the XML document source as parameters:
./runXMLGateway.sh
-t=myConfigurationTemplate.xml
-x=mySourceXML.xml
