Encouraging engagement with change management
One of the biggest barriers between users and ITSM is the requirement to login. Taken in isolation, it may be easy to assume that users will know their password; taken in context, users will have a range of passwords for the array of different internal business applications within the company and will quickly find themselves entering the wrong password a number of times and locking out their account.
SSO Plugin removes this barrier because users do not have to login, and they don't find themselves in a position where by they are calling the service desk to raise an incident to gain access to ITSM to raise an incident!
Integration with ITSM
In the event an SSO user does not have an SSO enabled account in AR System, SSO Plugin integrates with ITSM to automatically raise an incident. The user is presented with an incident number and can contact the service desk to follow up the issue. Pro-actively resolving issues leverages further value from SSO Plugin because frustrated users, unwilling to engage with ITSM, are a cost to the business.
Dashboards, Analytics & ITBM
SSO Plugin provides full support for BMC Dashboards, Analytics (also known as SAP Business Objects XI) and IT Business Management, out of the box. SSO Plugin for Dashboards and Analytics offer far more than simply SSO, but a solution that drives user permissioning from ITSM, avoiding the BMC design requirement to maintain multiple user repositories.
