The JSS SSO Plugin is a great tool. It is one of the best single-sign on tool out there. It is easy to install, configure and use. It is also very easy to do the basic troubleshooting. Do not fret if you have to do detailed troubleshooting, because they have the best customer support there is. There hasn’t been a time when our questions/issues have not been promptly solved: I am talking 15-20 minutes at the latest.
We had issues with SSO on our upgrade go-live weekend and the technical support team had answers to our questions within 5 minutes of contacting them. And the fix recommended by them solved our problem. The level of support provided by them is of premium quality. They know their product very well which is evident in the quality of the support.

We have recently deployed the JSS SSO Plugin in our production Remedy environment. Our environment is very large and we have 13 AR System servers and 8 Mid Tiers spread across multiple VIPs. Aside from a few small 'growing pains' during the first few days of deployment, I am happy to report we have not had any other issues since. This is amazing for an environment as large and as complex as ours.
The folks at JSS provide absolutely superb customer service. They stayed with me in support throughout the night of our install even though our maintenance window started at 3am London time! Anytime I have had any questions or issues I have received a response back very very quickly.
My Remedy users love being able to access Remedy without logging in. Many of our users are in and out of Remedy all day and this becomes a huge time saver for them. I highly recommend the JSS SSO Plugin. You will not be disappointed in the product or the level of support you will receive.

At Action for Children we help over 150,000 vulnerable children and young people, with over 430 sites across the UK. Providing an efficient IT support infrastructure is key to our current and future success. A central part of providing this support is the BMC Remedy ITSM system.

We had considered several methods to help us with the authenticating process and Java System Solutions offered the product and expertise we needed. Not only were our questions answered, but we were given recommendations on how to implement certain solutions.

In a fast moving IT organisation with an ever growing demand for wider integration with our BMC AR System implementation, and an urge for controlling the access to the data, we found that the XML Gateway was very applicable.
Easy implementation, configuration and administration of the gateway has made it much easier to be creative when developing frontend solutions with the focus on the end-user.

It's very annoying in a Windows Integrated environment to have any application that doesn't support Sigle Sign On because users have to make interactive logins to the applications (with the same username and password). BMC ITSM is one of the applications that doesn't support SSO and requires interactive user login. Our environment is very large and we can't accept this way of accessing the application.
Since we integrated the SSO Plugin from Java System Solutions, it's now possible to sign in to ITSM applications without users having to manually login, and that's fantastic. This is definitively the right SSO solution for the ITSM environment.
Here are the technical details about our environment:
- Using ISA 2006 for external access using extranet.
- Using it with Windows clients for internal access.
- Using Kerberos protocol / configuration.
- Using multiple domain controllers.
Even in this complicated environment, SSO Plugin worked out of the box providing access to ITSM applications, which is now faster than before with a conventional interactive login.
And last, but not least: The support from the Java System Solutions is in ‘real time’ and very efficient. I just want to say thank you to John Baker and Danny Kellett for doing such a good job.

Remedy was installed at PNG approximately 10 years ago. As an employee, every time you turn around, you have to log into Remedy again; mainly from the Remedy notification emails. Not any more. SSO from JSS filled a void that our Remedy vendor left. Now, when those notifications arrive in your email, one click takes you to your assigned issue.
As for the installation of SSO, I have to say I was surprised at how short a time was needed and impressed by the expertise of JSS support. Our test environment was updated in less than an hour. Our production SSO installation was similar. And, all of this occurred via the internet. We look forward to continuing the support relationship.
