Syscom ASWe are currently implementing a huge BMC AR System project for one of our customers in Norway and they requested a Singe Sign On solution to support Kerberos authentication and to use IIS as a front end.
We have deployed the JSS SSO Plugin to number of other customers in Norway and were keen to use the product again. The new (3.1) release has vastly improved the (already easy) installation process and the documentation is even more detailed and precise.

SwisscomIt's very annoying in a Windows Integrated environment to have any application that doesn't support Sigle Sign On because users have to make interactive logins to the applications (with the same username and password). BMC ITSM is one of the applications that doesn't support SSO and requires interactive user login. Our environment is very large and we can't accept this way of accessing the application.
Since we integrated the SSO Plugin from Java System Solutions, it's now possible to sign in to ITSM applications without users having to manually login, and that's fantastic. This is definitively the right SSO solution for the ITSM environment.
Here are the technical details about our environment:
- Using ISA 2006 for external access using extranet.
- Using it with Windows clients for internal access.
- Using Kerberos protocol / configuration.
- Using multiple domain controllers.
Even in this complicated environment, SSO Plugin worked out of the box providing access to ITSM applications, which is now faster than before with a conventional interactive login.
And last, but not least: The support from the Java System Solutions is in ‘real time’ and very efficient. I just want to say thank you to John Baker and Danny Kellett for doing such a good job.

Piedmont Natural Gas, USRemedy was installed at PNG approximately 10 years ago. As an employee, every time you turn around, you have to log into Remedy again; mainly from the Remedy notification emails. Not any more. SSO from JSS filled a void that our Remedy vendor left. Now, when those notifications arrive in your email, one click takes you to your assigned issue.
As for the installation of SSO, I have to say I was surprised at how short a time was needed and impressed by the expertise of JSS support. Our test environment was updated in less than an hour. Our production SSO installation was similar. And, all of this occurred via the internet. We look forward to continuing the support relationship.
